It’s been a long time since I was out of the country. Last time must have been in 2007, in Ireland. It’s not that I don’t want to – I just have prioritized other things.
Come 2016 – In just a few months I have spent time both in London and Paris. Amazing. I have been to both cities before, so it was refreshing to not have to see the main tourist attractions. I did spend my last day walking Champs – Élyssées up to the Triumphal Arc though. My shopping reflected a bit more where I was this time around. No clump of steel equivalent this time.
I did end up in the jeweler district of Paris though for some reason. Thankfully, the shops were all closed when I was there.
Walking the streets – or rather “flanere” (stems from the french word – flâneur), I came over this glass recycling point. With the mass of different wine bottles in a variety of price ranges, it served as an excellent proof of where I was.
