I am a photo hobbyist, and I enjoy taking pictures a lot. Not something one would know seeing some of what I have published on this blog perhaps, but there you have it. I do try.
I have worked with photoshop on and off since early 90`s , and I can remember when the version used to be 1. 0 something. That`s how old I am. Naturally I always felt like I just had to use Photoshop for anything editing. Not any more. Pixlr is a very good and affordable alternative, so is Lightroom which I am using now. Sources tell me that photographers have moved in droves from Photoshop to Lightroom, they don`t need all the options in that big software anyway.
I am quite happy with Lightroom – it does what I need it to do for the most part, and I rarely miss all the features in Photoshop. It is also still quite affordable on a budget, as you can still purchase it the old way. I just like owning software still, I know I am odd.
